Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow the website to remember information about your visit, such as whether you are logged in.
This policy also covers similar browser storage technologies such as localStorage, which Provlyn uses in place of some traditional cookies. The legal treatment under UK PECR and EU ePrivacy is the same — your consent is required for non-essential storage regardless of the underlying technology.
Provlyn uses two categories of cookies and similar storage:
We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting cookies, social-media tracking cookies, or sell data to third parties.
Essential storage is strictly necessary for the website to function. Without it, services you have asked for cannot be provided.
Analytics storage helps us understand how visitors use Provlyn so we can improve the product. We use the following analytics service:
Analytics storage is only loaded if you have given consent via the cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time (see Section 5).
To change your cookie preferences: clear your browser storage for provlyn.com. Specifically, delete the key provlyn_cookie_consent_v1 from localStorage (Developer Tools → Application → Local Storage). The banner will then reappear on your next visit, letting you make a fresh choice.
To block all cookies: most browsers allow you to view, delete, and block cookies and storage through their settings. Note that blocking essential storage will prevent you from signing in or using the service.
We are working on adding a “Manage cookie preferences” link in the footer so you can revisit your choice without using developer tools. This is on our short-term roadmap.
If we introduce new cookies or analytics providers in the future, we will update this policy. If the new storage is non-essential, we will request fresh consent.
